DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A man who was fishing in a kayak on Fish Lake Monday night was taken to a hospital after being hit in the foot by a piece of what appeared to be fireworks debris.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department, people on the shore were launching fireworks in the direction of the fisherman and as they kept coming closer, the kayaker was struck by an arrow shaped object that pierced his foot and lodged in the kayak.
The individuals on the shore had left the scene before deputies arrived.
The incident is being investigated and anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 218-336-4350.
