UNDATED (KDAL) – The annual Memorial Day parade is being held on Grand Avenue in West Duluth Monday from 59th Avenue West to Central Avenue.
The parade begins at 12:30 and follows several morning Memorial Day services at cemeteries around the region.
Boy Scout volunteers and others will be placing flags on veteran’s graves at area cemeteries and the Proctor American Legion Post 106 is holding an observance at the Proctor Community Center at 9:30 a-m.
The Bong Veterans Historical Center in Superior is holding a Memorial Day event on Saturday sponsored by the Douglas County Veterans Service Office and the City of Superior.
The family friendly community event will feature a wide variety of attractions and activities dedicated to remembrance and education.
Admission is a dollar and proceeds raised will benefit a memorial scholarship fund for female aviators.
