DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth bound lanes of the Bong Bridge were closed for several hours Tuesday evening as a semi truck tipped over in high winds.
The truck ended up on its side and knocked over a light pole on the median.
One Superior bound lane was also closed to traffic.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
The Duluth area had winds gusts that reached 57 miles per hour during the late afternoon and evening on Tuesday.
A wind advisory is continued in the Twin Ports area and the North Shore until 7 a-m Wednesday for east winds at 20 to 35 miles per hour gusting up to 50.
A Gale Warning for western Lake Superior is in effect until 10 a-m with waves of six to eleven feet expected.
