Sep 22 (Field Level Media) – Tuesday night’s scheduled game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Orioles in Baltimore was postponed due to ongoing inclement weather.
This game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Wednesday, with games starting at 1:35 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. ET.
Both teams could be eliminated from contention by then. The Chicago White Sox (80-76) began Tuesday in the third American League wild-card position, three games up on the Houston Astros (77-79), 3 1/2 in front of the Blue Jays (77-80) and 4 1/2 ahead of the Orioles (76-81).
Baltimore ended a three-game skid by recording a 4-3 win over Toronto in the series opener on Monday. The Orioles must win their remaining five games to avoid posting a second straight losing season.
The Blue Jays have dropped five of their past seven games.
