ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is awarding 8 million dollars to airports across the state for various improvement projects.
The Duluth International Airport will be getting 105 thousand dollars for runway pavement maintenance and the Sky Harbor Airport on Park Point will see 63 thousand dollars for planning a storm water treatment program.
The state funding grants will support 57 projects overall and is meant to improve and modernize Minnesota’s transportation infrastructure.
The funds come primarily from aviation fuel and sales taxes along with aircraft property taxes and registration fees.
