DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday begins an expansion project at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.
The multi-faceted project includes a 58 million dollar vertical expansion of Building A, transforming current hospital rooms to private and rebuilding the Northland-hospital parking ramp.
Three more stories will be added to Building A along with 60 new cardiac and intensive care rooms.
The parking ramp replacement will provide 323 spaces and will be a 14 million dollar state-funded, city owned structure.
The ramp portion of the project is scheduled to be completed by March of 2024 and the new inpatient units will be complete by the end of 2024.
