DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force now has a K-9 member of the team.
K-9 Maverick is a one year old black lab from South Dakota who recently graduated from a K-9 training school along with his handler Investigator Taylor Stutsman.
A federal grant has made the addition of the single-purpose narcotics K-9 to the Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.
Maverick will also be available to partner law enforcement agencies in the region.
His first day of service was Monday.
