ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – Recent rains and higher humidity has greatly reduced the risk of wildfires across Minnesota.
The DNR has removed the burning restrictions in Lake and Cook Counties as of Tuesday.
They were the last two counties in the state that were under DNR mandated fire restrictions.
The DNR will continue to monitor conditions and will reinstate county specific burning restrictions when needed.
Since fall is traditionally a dry time, Minnesotans are encouraged to stay alert and keep current with any future restrictions.
