ST. PAUL, MN (MNN) – Governor Tim Walz has announced rewards available to the first 100-thousand Minnesotans age 12 and over, who receive their first dose of COVID vaccine between now and June 30th.
Vaccine recipients can choose between one pass to the Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth or a 30-point ride pass at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America, one Minnesota Zoo adult admission, Valleyfair single-day admission, or one reserved ticket to a Northwoods League baseball game.
Those getting the vaccine can also choose a Minnesota resident annual fishing license, a Minnesota State Parks annual pass, two State Fair tickets, or a 25-dollar VISA card.
Governor Walz calls it “Your Shot to Summer,” saying the state wants to build on its great vaccination success and “get the broad community protection needed for everyone to have the fun, safe summer they want.”
The goal is 70 percent of Minnesotans 16-and-over vaccinated by July 1st. Currently about 57 percent in that age range have received the complete series of COVID vaccine.
