ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – About a half million anglers are expected to take part in the 2021 Fishing Opener this weekend.
Saturday begins the fishing season for walleye, bass, northern pike and trout in Minnesota’s 4500 lakes and 16 thousand miles of fishable streams and rivers.
Fishing license fees help to pay for fish and wildlife management, public land infrastructure maintenance and habitat management across the state.
