DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Duluth fire crews responded to a fire at 3:47 a-m on Tuesday. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the basement and first floor of the two story residential structure.
Six student occupants of the house, in the 600 block of Woodland Avenue, were alerted by a smoke alarm and evacuated safely.
Fire and water damage to the house is estimated at 65 thousand dollars and the cause is under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s Office.
The displaced students are being assisted by the American Red Cross and friends.
