DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A line of heavy weather resulted in reports of a tornado, strong winds, hail and flash flooding in parts of northeast Minnesota on Monday.
Tornadoes were reported in Aitkin, Crow Wing and Cass counties and severe thunderstorms and heavy rain left some trees down and water over roads in the Hibbing, Virginia and Eveleth areas.
Up to 4 inches of rain in a short period of time caused some flash flooding and several power outages in the region were also reported.
More severe weather is possible later in the week according to the National Weather Service Office.
