UNDATED (KDAL) – One person was injured in a detached garage fire in Brevator Township on Wednesday afternoon.
A 64 year old man was attempting to save items from the burning garage and was taken to a hospital in Duluth in serious but stable condition.
The cause of the fire in the 3500 block of Nelson Road is under investigation but no foul play is suspected.

Late Thursday morning, the Superior Fire Department was called to structure fire at 1503 North 5th Street.
The building houses the Viking Lounge on the first floor and eight apartment units on the upper floor.
All residents were out of the building when firefighters arrived and there were no injuries.
The Red Cross is assisting those displaced in the fire and the cause of that fire is under investigation.

Early Saturday morning, several fire departments and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to a fire reported at a multi-family home in the 8400 block of the Nelson Road in the unorganized township of Britt.
When crews arrived, the building was fully involved in flames and was completely destroyed.
One person was evaluated at the scene for smoke inhalation but no other injuries were reported.
That fire is being investigated by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office.
