DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The heavy lake effect snow moves from the north shore to the south shore of Lake Superior Thursday through Friday.
The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Iron County in Wisconsin through noon on Friday.
Most areas will see 2 to 8 inches of snow but 5 to 14 inches is in the forecast for northern Iron County.
The highest snow totals are expected in the Hurley-Ironwood area and further east in Michigan where 12 to 18 inches are possible through Friday morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory is posted in Bayfield and Ashland Counties for up to 6 inches of snow in some of the usual snow-belt areas.
