DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Visit Duluth and the Duluth Seaway Port Authority is now taking entries into the annual First Ship Contest.
The person who guesses the date and time that the first ocean going vessel to pass under the Aerial Lift Bridge will win a Duluth get-away.
The contest is open now until March 24th at visitduluth.com/firstship.
Last year, the Federal Biscay was the first to reach Duluth on April 18th.
The earliest “saltie” arrival was in 2013 when the Federal Hunter arrived on March 30th.
The grand prize Duluth Get-Away includes an overnight stay at the Pier B Resort plus passes to several Duluth attractions and gifts from Grandma’s Restaurants, Lake Superior Magazine, Minnesota Power and Visit Duluth.
