HAYWARD, WI (KDAL) – A two vehicle crash in Sawyer County early Monday morning has left one person dead.
The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office says the crash occurred on Highway 70 a mile west of the intersection with County EE in the Town of Draper.
A preliminary investigation shows a vehicle driven by 35 year old William J. Bohn of Rib Lake, Wisconsin was westbound when he crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a semi.
Bohn, the only occupant of the car, sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The driver of the semi had minor injuries.
The crash is being investigated by the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol.
