SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – The mayors of Duluth and Superior will join volunteers in this year’s Coastal Cleanup kick-off event on Friday.
Part of an international project to clean waterways, the Twin Ports Coastal Cleanup will open with statements from Duluth Mayor Emily Larson and Superior Mayor Jim Paine at the Arrowhead Boat Launch in Superior.
Fifth grade students from the Lake Superior Elementary School will be cleaning up that area.
The City of Duluth is scheduling groups, families or individuals interested in cleaning up during the event at their website https://duluthmn.gov/parks/volunteer/clean-and-green/.
