SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – Superior Water Light and Power (SWL&P) is now accepting subscriptions to their community solar garden.
The 470 kilowatt solar garden is large enough to power about 115 homes and will be built on company owned land at 2828 Hammond Avenue near Heritage Park.
The cost will be paid for by customers who sign up to participate.
Subscriptions are available in 1 kilowatt blocks and three payment options are available; a one time up-front payment, a fixed monthly fee or a fixed charge per kilowatt hour.
Options are based on 25 year agreements and there is a one time reservation fee. Customers have the flexibility to leave the program without penalty.
