DULUTH, MN – SUPERIOR, WI (CBS-3) – Four people have been arrested after two separate car chases in the Twin Ports Wednesday, including one that left two Duluth Police investigators injured.
According to Superior Police, the first incident began around 11:30 a.m. on the 2000 block of Hammond Avenue. Superior and Duluth police officers tried to stop the driver, who was wanted for multiple violent crimes.
He sped away, causing significant damage to a garage, two fences, vehicles, and multiple police cars. Police say the suspect also drove his vehicle at two Duluth Police investigators, causing minor injuries.
The chase eventually ended near 40th Avenue West and I-35 in Duluth when the man and his female passenger were both arrested.
A half-hour later, two Superior police officers saw a man who is known to have a suspended license driving on the 600 block of Grand Avenue.
They tried to stop him, but the driver instead led police on a chase.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in front of Superior High School.
Police said both the passenger and driver ran, but were eventually arrested.
