(WNFL)- The Milwaukee Brewers added a somewhat fresh arm to their bullpen today, after the Crew used six relievers in a 16-inning home loss to Washington. Right-hander Mike Fiers was sent back down to Triple-"A" Nashville, and right-hander Alfredo Figaro was called up. Fiers pitched four innings in last night's marathon. He was the losing pitcher after he gave up a two-run homer to Ryan Zimmerman in the top of the 16th. Figaro threw 22 pitches last night in a pair of relief innings at Nashville. Figaro is 2-1 this season for the Sounds, with an ERA of just over five. He was called up briefly in a similar circumstance, a couple days after Milwaukee won a 14-inning contest at Pittsburgh on Easter Sunday. Figaro started for a short time with the Crew last season.
