Blake Shelton returns to the road Friday night launching his Ten Times Crazier Tour 2014 in Austin, Texas. Due to his schedule taping NBC's The Voice , Blake only tours during the summer and early fall these days, and that suits him just fine.
He says, "That's basically all I do anymore. It's all I really wanna do."
Spending just a few months on tour does make it harder for Blake to feel at home on the road, though.
"It wasn't until the end of the tour last year that I kinda felt like we were back in the groove, and I had my routine down," Blake admits.
When it comes to getting ready for a show, Blake doesn't have too many demands. He simply needs a good, strong drink before hitting the stage.
Says Blake, "I gotta have it just to loosen up and calm my nerves. That's really about [it], that and my guitar and I'm good to go. I think my people would tell you, other than the fact that I'm probably late to everything, that I'm pretty low-maintenance."
Blake is taking out The Band Perry , Dan + Shay and Neal McCoy as his opening acts this summer. Go to BlakeShelton.com for a full list of tour dates.
