Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Superior authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating those who vandalized two parks last week. According to the Superior Police Department, vandals caused a total of two-thousand dollars of damage to the Wade Bowl Play Area and the park at North 18th Street and Oakes Avenue. The city was in the process of renovating both sites with Community Development Block Grant funding. Vandals gouged out holes in the brand new resilient matting under the playground equipment in both locations. Mayor Bruce Hagen says, “We are providing these facilities with hard-earned tax dollars and we have individuals that don’t respect that. We need neighborhood surveillance to protect these sites.” Anybody with more information is asked to contact the Superior Police Department.
