Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Former Duluth City Council President Patrick Boyle has been elected to the Saint Louis County Board of Commissioners. More than 42-hundred voters turned out Tuesday for the special election to the fill the seat that had been held by Steve O'Neil, who died last year following a long battle with cancer. Boyle won with more than 65% of the vote over competitor and former council colleague Jim Stauber. Boyle says he will resign from the city council Wednesday. He had been re-elected last fall. On Monday the council chose Linda Krug to serve has president.
