DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - President of Maurices, George Goldfarb and Duluth Mayor Don Ness unveiled the new design of the Maurices Headquarters Building at a news conference Tuesday morning. Speaking from the building that formerly held KDAL Radio and KDLH TV, Goldfarb says demolition of that facility at 425 West Superior Street will begin in April and the new 70 million dollar building is expected to be complete in December of 2015. He adds that after 80 years they are proud to remain in downtown Duluth as they continue to grow. Initially Maurices was going to invest 30 million dollars into the project, however, they've since stepped up their contribution to more than 50 million. The structure will be 11 stories tall and will be the largest downtown commercial development in Duluth history.
