SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) - The Superior Police have arrested the director of the Superior-Douglas County Senior Center for theft and embezzlement of the center's funds. A center board member notified police and reported that the director admitted to taking unauthorized monies over an unknown period of time. The exact amount of the theft is not known but is believed to be in excess of ten thousand dollars. Police have identified the director as 30 year old Matthew Isaiah Brown from Superior. Brown has been the director of the center for the past six years. He was arrested for felony theft, booked at the Douglas County Jail and released to appear in court on March 12th. The matter remains under investigation by Superior Police.
