SOLON SPRINGS, WI (KDAL) - Authorities have released the identity of a Solon Springs woman who was hit by a train earlier this week. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says Deborah Otier was walking her dog Monday evening when witnesses say she crossed the railroad tracks on County Highway ‘A’ in downtown Solon Springs, going around the back side of the extended stop arms. The 59 year-old had just left a grocery store and walked west to the tracks. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The crossing’s lights and bells were both active.
