Duluth, MN (KDAL) - A U-M-D football player stabbed in downtown Duluth over the weekend continues to recover. The Duluth Police Department says Austin Sikorski is out of Intensive Care and, at last check, was listed in ‘stable’ condition at St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigators say they’ve identified a 22 year-old man as a person of interest. The incident occurred early Saturday morning on West Superior Street, near Lake Avenue. The 22 year-old Sikorski, who is a running back, will be a senior this year. The Plover-native was the Bulldogs’ leading rusher last year.
