UNDATED (KDAL) - Duluth and Superior will join over 16 thousand communities across the country in holding block parties and neighborhood gatherings as part of the National Night Out on Tuesday. This is the 31st year of the campaign designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, strengthen community and police partnerships and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back against crime. Duluth will have about 40 block parties and cook-outs with another dozen or so in Superior. Police officers will attempt to make appearances at each of them and be available to answer questions and meet with neighbors.
