MINNEAPOLIS, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota Twins have given manager Ron Gardenhire a two year contract extension. General Manager Terry Ryan met with Gardenhire over the weekend to discuss the direction the team would be going and decided to stick with him. Even though the team has stumbled over the last three years, Gardenhire said he didn't want to walk away. The entire coaching staff has also been invited to stay on. Gardenhire came up just two wins short of a thousand in his career when the team lost 10 of the final 11 games of the season.
