U-W Milwaukee basketball

(WNFL) - The U-W Milwaukee men topped N-A-I-A opponent Judson at home last night, 89-to-56.  The Panthers led by 26 points at the break, after they outscored Judson 41-to-4 in the paint.  Milwaukee scored a total of 67 points on the inside.  They had 26 assists on 38 baskets, and got 47 points from their bench.  Kyle Kelm and Austin Ariens each scored 14 points for a U-W-M team that outshot Judson 52-to-31 percent.  Drew Makiewicz scored 17 for Judson, which dropped to 3-and-7.  U-W Milwaukee improved to 6-and-2.  They'll play at Missouri-Kansas City on Saturday.The U-W Milwaukee women lost at New Mexico last night, 72-to-58.  The Panthers led by one at halftime, but they missed all 12 of their three-point attempts in the second half.  Milwaukee only made 3-of-22 for the night from beyond-the-arc.  Angela Rodriguez scored 21 points for U-W-M, which fell to 1-and-3.  Khadijah Shumpert scored 21 for New Mexico, which is now 2-and-3.  The Panthers now head to Las Cruces New Mexico for the Aggie Hotel Encato Thanksgiving tournament.  They'll open that event on Friday against Lamar.
