(WNFL) - The Green Bay Packer defense badly missed safety Morgan Burnett when he missed the first three games with an injured hamstring. Since then, Burnett has been solid. But he has not been a difference-maker, as evidenced by the fact that Green Bay and Jacksonville are the only teams not to have a safety make an interception this season. The Packers have had six more giveaways than takeaways overall -- and defensive coordinator Dom Capers spreads the blame throughout his entire unit. Green Bay has only had four interceptions this year. Capers says the Packers remain consistent in their pass-rushing numbers, but there's been a big decline in the types of takeaways that influence a game so much. The Packers players are off today. They'll start practicing tomorrow for Sunday's home contest against the Minnesota Vikings.
