DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Police have released the name of the man killed when his bike hit a pole at a high rate of speed in downtown Duluth on Wednesday. He was 36-year-old Koantonio Dean Farley of Duluth. Farley was originally from Chicago, according to police. Two police officers noticed Farley traveling at a high rate of speed down First Avenue East on Wednesday evening as he approached Superior Street. As he crossed Superior, he apparently tried to make his way onto the pedestrian ramp into Lake Place Park but hit a pole. Police provided first aid and Farley was transported to St. Luke's hospital where he later died. He reportedly was not wearing a helmet.
