Two Western Minnesota Pilots Recognized For Finding Duluth Crash Victim

Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Two volunteer pilots are being recognized for helping find the wreckage of a fatal plane crash near Hawley.  Forty-eight-year-old Kevin Ferris of Duluth died in a crash March 29th while en route to Moorhead.  The two pilots, Todd Sparrow and Bryan Reep will receive Citizen Recognition awards for going up to look for Ferris when other pilots were grounded in dense fog.

Ferris was known in Duluth as the Rose Man who ran a flower shop on Central Entrance.
