DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - If Casablanca's Captain Renault was in Duluth when a lobster went missing from the Red Lobster's live tank, he would order police to round up the usual suspects. In this case, it would be the usual suspect, singular. Fifty-three-year-old Edward Farris was ticketed midday Wednesday after a report that a live lobster had been stolen from the Canal Park restaurant's tank and that the suspect had just left. A responding officer spotted Farris, who had the lobster in a plastic bag. The officer cited him for trespassing and misdemeanor theft before transporting the lobster back to the restaurant, where the crustacean's fate remains unkown. This was the second time Farris -- who has a long and wending criminal history -- has been charged with the theft of a lobster from the same restaurant. The first happened in June, 2012.
