ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has signed a law that establishes a marketplace where uninsured residents can choose affordable health care coverage. It is estimated 1.3 million Minnesotans will benefit from the legislation and families and businesses in the state will save an estimated 1 billion dollars in health care costs by 2016. Individual consumers should see a 34 percent decrease in premiums for health insurance purchased through the new MNsure health insurance exchange. Governor Dayton says the bill is a major step forward to improve the quality and affordability of health care in the state.
