GREEN BAY, WI (KDAL) - A gouda cheese entered by Holland's Family Cheese in Thorp, Wisconsin took top honors in the U-S Championship Cheese Contest held in Green Bay.  The Marieke Mature Gouda scored 98 points out of a possible 100 to be declared the champion cheese.  Over 17 hundred cheeses competed in the contest with Wisconsin getting the most gold medals overall, winning 47 of the 81 categories.
