CARLTON, MN (KDAL) - Carlton County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call of a burglary in progress Thursday afternoon in Thomson Township.  The burglar had been detained by the homeowner and was taken into custody when officers arrived.  It turns out that the suspect may also have been responsible for other burglaries in the area and the Hibbing Police and St. Louis County Sheriff's Office have joined in the investigation.  The 44 year old man from Hibbing is now in the Carlton County Jail pending formal burglary and assault charges.
