ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - Even though nine more people died in Minnesota last week from complications of the flu, the number of hospitalizations was down to 72. Flu outbreaks were up slightly from the previous week with three nursing homes and 22 schools affected. The Minnesota Department of Health says this season has been one of the most severe in years with 136 deaths and more than 600 people hospitalized with the flu. Officials say the state's flu season peaked about the middle of January.
