Superior, WI (KDAL) - Two fires within hours of each other had Superior crews busy for most of the midday on Tuesday. The first call was to a garage fire at 1211 John Avenue at around eleven thirty. The blaze took down the detached garage and did $35,000 damage.
As the firefighters were mopping up there another call to the old foundry in the 22 hundred block of Central Avenue came in at around one o'clock. That fire did about $2,000 damage, but took longer to put out. Both fires are under investigation and authorities say their origins are "suspicious."
