DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Duluth Mail Processing Center won a reprieve last May when the Post Office was looking to close the facility. Now, workers there were notified this week that the center could close as early as June or July of this year or as late as next February. The closure would leave about a hundred people without a job and the mail would taken to the Twin Cities for sorting. The Postal Service continues to try and find ways to cut costs as losses totaled 1.3 billion in the first quarter of the fiscal year that ended December 31st.
