DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - A potentially scary situation for a parent ended quickly and without incident Friday at St. Mary's Essentia Health Medical Center. A Code Purple was called shortly after noon, according to a hospital spokesperson, but was rescinded just minutes later when a missing child in pediatrics was found. Color codes vary among hospitals, but generally a code purple could indicate a number of occurrences, including an abduction, a missing patient, an overloaded emergency department or even a VIP admittance.
