Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Authorities in Cloquet are investigating a stabbing. The Cloquet Police Department says an officer on patrol early Sunday morning came across a fight in progress in the area of 11th Street and Cloquet Avenue. As the officer exited his squad car he saw that one of the men involved was holding a knife. The officer tried to apprehend him, but the knife wielding man was able to break free. That’s when the officer discovered that a 28 year-old Cloquet man had been stabbed. They were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect, a 37 year-old man from Sawyer, Minnesota, was located a short time later. At last check, they were in custody at the Carlton County Law Enforcement Center awaiting charges.
