David Nail is profiled in a new Great American Country special, Introducing: David Nail , premiering later this week. The show tells the story of David moving to Nashville in 1999 and quickly landing, and then losing, a record deal shortly after he arrived.
David says, “When you take a 21-year-old kid from a small town, flying him all over the country, staying in nice hotels, you think you’ve got it made and that the rest is history. It was a rude awakening when reality hit."
About five years after losing that first deal, David signed with MCA Records and went on to release the hits "Red Light," "Let It Rain" and his current single, "Whatever She's Got." He'll discuss that success on the special. David's wife, parents, record producer and friends are also interviewed on Introducing: David Nail , airing Thursday, December 12 at 8 p.m. ET.
