DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - St. Louis County Commissioner Chris Dahlberg will run for the U-S Senate seat in Minnesota currently held by Al Franken. The official announcement is expected to come in several weeks. Dahlberg is 51 years old and was elected to the County Board in 2008 and re-elected last year. He served on the Duluth City Council from 1992 to 1994. Dahlberg is a member of the U-S Army Reserves and will retire in October after 25 years of service. He is also an attorney with the Dahlberg Law Office in Duluth. A Republican, Dahlberg says he will bring a common sense, balanced and fiscally conservative approach to representing the state in Washington D-C.
