Eveleth, MN (KDAL) - Ten years ago today, on a foggy and cold morning, the plane carrying incumbent Minnesota Senator Paul Wellstone crashed into the woods outside of Eveleth killing the Senator, his wife and daughter and five other people.  Wellstone was in a close re-election race.

This afternoon at the sight of the crash there will be a memorial service.  Later next month another remembrance will be held at the State Capitol in St. Paul.
