(KDAL) - Chances of drivers in Wisconsin and Minnesota hitting a deer in the coming year is about one in 80. According to a new State Farm Insurance calculation, the state of West Virginia leads the nation in chances of deer-vehicle crashes followed by South Dakota and Iowa. Wisconsin is number 7 and Minnesota is 8th. Nationwide there are 1.5 million deer-vehicle crashes each year resulting in about a billion dollars in vehicle damages. November is the month when most of those crashes occur.
