Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Closed since the flooding in June, Jay Cooke State Park outside of Duluth is open again. The park is accessible off of I-35 and only as far as the main office. It will be up to a year and maybe longer before work on highway 210 through the park is complete. But the campground and the camper cabins are open as is the interpretive center.
The famous Swinging Bridge will not swing until extensive repairs are made to it. One of the supports was washed away in the flood and the metal span left twisted in the water.
