Duluth, MN (KDAL) - A popular North Shore restaurant will serve its final meal this month. The owners of Nokomis are going to close the restaurant and bar after lunch on October 28th. Owners Rondi Erickson and her husband Sandy Lewis, along with chef Sean Lewis are closing after seven years. The unique menu was the creation of Sean, who was the head chef. They say that business was good but retirement and new opportunities were the reasons for their closing.
Before becoming the Nakomis, named after an Indian Princess in a Longfellow poem, the restaurant was called the Shorecrest and was a North Shore tradition for decades.
