UNDATED (KDAL) - The Minnesota Department of Health reports that the flu sent 11 people to the hospital over the past week and a total of 41 have been hospitalized in the state since the flu season began in October. Overall, the influenza virus appears to be at low or sporadic levels with outbreaks reported at seven schools last week, but no outbreaks at nursing homes in the state. Health officials recommend everyone over 6 months of age should get a flu shot. The peak of the flu season normally occurs between January and April.
