Duluth, MN (KDAL) - The 21st annual Amsoil Duluth National Snocross kicks off Friday at Spirit Mountain with nearly a thousand entries in the various racing events.
Organizers are expecting more than 30,000 fans over the course of the weekend, which kicks off officially with an opening ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday. The race also marks the start of the International Series of Champions circuit, and the Amsoil series is the featured series of the ISOC.
Organizers said despite a lack of significant snow, the track is in good shape for the event thanks to snow makers working in a concentrated area of Spirit Mountain. The event is expected to have an economic impact of $4 million to $6 million for the area.
